Hamlet, Prince of Denmark

This is the first Ukrainian translation of Shakespeare's masterpiece in the third millennium, a play that has not left the stage since it was written — until today. Hamlet can be interpreted in many ways — in the spirit of classicism or postmodernism, but it is hard to find a person who would not be moved by the tragedy of the Danish prince. Ideally, this work should be translated by almost every generation — with its own unique vocabulary, accents, and nuances. Our edition of "Hamlet" is created by two iconic figures of the contemporary Ukrainian cultural space — writer Yuriy Andrukhovych and illustrator Vladyslav Yerk. Their version of "Hamlet" is a fortunate opportunity to experience the genius work anew, to keenly feel its eternal relevance and modernity.
