Pamela Butchart is a Scottish children's author and secondary school philosophy teacher.

She holds an MA in philosophy from the University of Dundee and has become a lecturer in philosophy at the Harris Academy in Dundee. The author began writing children's books after her fiancé gave her a book on how to write for children.
