Strange Glow is the second novel in the Discworld series of the Rincewind sub-cycle, continuing the adventures of the failed wizard Rincewind and the first Disc tourist Twoflower, which began in The Color of Magic. An ominous red star threatens the Discworld with destruction. The friends do not suspect that it is Rincewind, who is completely unable to cast spells, that will have to save the Disc from disaster. Along the way, they encounter talking trees, a gingerbread house, druids-"programmers", barbarian horsemen, trolls, monsters from other dimensions, a magical traveling shop, and most importantly, fate gives them a meeting with the legendary hero of the Discworld!

Terry Pratchett once again breaks stereotypes that heroes can be exceptionally handsome in seductive leather clothes. And it shows that charms can completely ruin someone's life, and can also give a new one.
